About Us and Our Family
Doug Brown
Owners Doug and Paulette Brown work side by side with their daughters, Madison Shaver, who oversees our daily operations, and Ashleigh Lee, who leads our digital marketing efforts.
Doug and Paulette call Panama City home and love spending their free time boating on the bays and the Gulf of America with family and friends. Madison also lives in Panama City with her husband, a Bay County Sheriff, and their young son. When she's not helping customers, she's busy keeping up with her little one or enjoying a day on the water with the family.
Ashleigh lives in Destin with her husband, a professional fisherman. It probably won't surprise you that some of their favorite days are spent on the water, whether it's fishing or simply enjoying everything the Emerald Coast has to offer.

Kirk Maltese & Ellen Capps
Owners Kirk Maltese and Ellen Capps are another big part of the Zaps family. Kirk loves being out in the field, getting to know our customers and giving them the kind of personal, one-on-one service you can only get from a local company.
If you give Zaps a call, there’s a good chance you’ll get to chat with Ellen. She has a way of making everyone feel like family and is always happy to help, answer questions, or simply take the time to listen. For Ellen, taking care of our customers means treating them the same way she’d want someone to treat her own family.
Kirk and Ellen love calling Florida’s Gulf Coast home. Together, they have five children and four grandchildren, so family is a big part of their lives. They love spending time together and enjoying everything the Gulf Coast has to offer.
